" By taking the familiar trappings of a domestic living room and placing them out of context, I try to re-locate us within ' the forest' where our origins lie, reminding us we are still embedded within the fabric of nature"
The piece has now weathered beautifully, blending in with the surrounding forest. Being constructed of oak the living room will out live the plantation it is part of. In time the area will be replanted and a new 'Habitat' created, nestling amongst the young trees as they grow, and witnessing the cycle of growth and decay.
